Welcome and Commissioning of Rev Steve Young

On Tuesday 25 January, over 300 people joined in the Factory to welcome Rev Steve and Mrs Jo Young to Springwood Winmalee parish.

Following a welcome by Rev Rob Powell, who served as acting Senior Pastor for the previous nine months, Bishop Ivan Lee officiated the evening.

The congregation included a large contingent from Moorebank Parish, where the Youngs served over the previous seven years.

Following the commissioning by the Bishop, wardens John Lambert, Wilf Storm and David Lynch welcomed Steve to the parish, a n umber of members laid hands and prayed for the new Senior Pastor. Vicki Brasington presented welcome gifts to the family on behlaf of the parish.

Finally Federal MP Louise Markus and Blue Mountains Mayor Daniel Myles welcomed the new Senior Pastor to the community.
